Annual Best Global Brands Report is made based on five criteria, and today we have the results of the year 2011. It is not a surprise at all that Apple is inside the top ten world’s brands! Unlike all other companies in this list, Apple got so high for the first time, making 9 points up. Neighbors like Coca-Cola, IBM, Microsoft, Google etc. have been holding their positions in the list firm for many years.
Apple superseded Nokia from the Top Ten. The Finnish company lost 6 points and now is on the 14th position.
To say the truth there are only the list positions that remained unchanged for the ten most valuable companies. Their brand’s money equivalent suffered significant changes. For example, Apple and Google showed the highest increase: +58% and +27% accordingly. Other companies have much more limited success: Intel +10%, IBM +8%, HP and McDonald’s both have +6%. Microsoft is the only top company that lost 3% this year.
Anyway, this report is not a result of real evaluations, and the true value of the company may differ from the Best Global Brands expert’s opinions.
